The laser treatment you could say is a “home port” of the Low Level Laser Therapy, a Laser Photo Therapy used in many spas to treat thinning hair. It is a safe method that affects only your hair, nourishing it. With the HairMax LaserComb you will have this treatment available any time, any place you choose, with a cost over time, much less than going to a spa for laser treatment.

The product, looks like a hairbrush, comes with a handle, and is very easy to use intuitively, as it resembles the tool we much use to comb our hair. It has two buttons in the back. One is for turning on the power, and the other to start laser application. When you turn on the laser, the lights will come out from the centre directly to your hair. To apply treatment, you must glide the comb over your hair, back about 0.5 inches each time you hear the beeping. Once finishing the treatment, you don’t need anything else.

Does it work? For most people. We have tested it for about 4 months on 10 subjects, and 7 of them had satisfactory results. The 3 others – although they did notice an improvement – didn’t consider the results satisfactory enough (in terms on hair re-growth). We kind of expected that, given that the product itself says it has worked great on 90% of its test subjects. But the HairMax LaserComb has the advantage that if it doesn’t work for you, you can still re-sell it later, unlike other treatments like taking pills. You can consider it like a safe bet without side effects.

This treatment may be the second best treatment, surgery being the best. Because of that, the price of the product can seem a little too high to most people.
